Motorola Droid Unofficially Gets Android 2.1

Mon, Dec 14, 2009

Google Android, Mobile Phone

You don’t have to wait for Google’s own Nexus One; you can have the new Android 2.1 OS if you’re a Motorola Droid owner. It’s only a hack of course, so nothing official. The video evidence only show us the boot up animation. But we’ve already seen this Nexus One bootup! We see a glimpse of the home page, but the locked icon on the right doesn’t give us much more info on the operating system itself except that it apparently boots up less swiftly than we first imagined, even on a powerful handset like the Droid.

Motorola Droid is cool. I got mine using the service at http://www.amzpricesniper.com. It watched the Amazon inventory and the moment Amazon received fresh inventory at the regular retail price this obnoxious alarm went off.
