With the Kindle now available globally, it’s not surprising that Samsung is following suit as well with their e-book reader.

Word is that the Korean-based company is already working on an upgrade on their first e-book reader, the SNE-50K, which they’ll be debuting at CES next year. Aptly named as the SNE-60K, this version is rumored to be hitting the international market and will be getting a WiFi upgrade. Unlike the Barnes & Noble Nook e-book reader though, it still won’t come with a colored touchscreen.
Going international will definitely help make Samsung compete better in the e-book market, but we think it’ll take more than just WiFi to lure customers away from Amazon and Barnes & Noble to their side of the fence.

Not necessarily. I think the Kindle is sold internationally but I don’t know how it works buying the books if they sell stuff not american.
If nothing else their format only works on the Kindle.
The Nook is only sold in the USA so no luck for us here in Europe.
So that leaves Sony and these kind of things, and preferably epub as format I guess.
Though I personally would just pirate the hell out of it and get whatever format that way. Earlier everything seemed to be pdf but I guess one can get more “real” copies of ebooks nowadays.
I guess the small color screen on the nook has very limited value, but sure I’d pick it over the Kindle.
