New HTC Sense UI video preview on a hacked HTC Hero

Google Android, Software

HTC has a new version of their Sense UI ready for roll-out sometime soon, and we’ve got it live in action showcased in this video. An HTC Hero was hacked to run this new Android Sense interface, and it seems to have done a pretty good job at keeping things neat and tidy. The translucent framing of the icons is a little bit of a turn-off though, but I guess that’s probably just a matter of personal taste. There’s still no info on when it will be made available, but word is that the upcoming HTC Espresso will come bundled with it. Since CES is just a couple of weeks away, we’re hoping that HTC will make this new Sense version and their Espresso phone official already at the grand annual event to kick things off in 2010 on a good note.
