Dell Android Tablet (Mini 5) demoed on Video

Google Android, WiFi Internet

Here’s a video of the Dell Android tablet that was showcased at CES the other day.

Performance-wise, it’s pretty snappy, and the added inches in the display size certainly helps in viewing videos better on it as well as provide a more well-spaced on-screen QWERTY keypad complete with numpad on the side. As a result, typing on it is easier albeit requiring two thumbs to work efficiently. As far as the OS version is concerned, don’t let the new interface fool you, it’s actually just running on Android 1.6. Yeah, it’s a little old, but hey, it still gets the job done, and don’t forget, this is still just a prototype we’re looking at. The Mini 5 name, by the way, isn’t official.

So, how about it guys? Would you buy this Dell Android tablet if it were available in stores already? I sure would provided, of course, that it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
