Earlier this month, rumors surfaced that the Motorola Mirage (Shadow) could debut as the Nexus Two Enterprise phone. Today, we now have confirmation from none other than Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha himself that his company is developing a Google phone which will be sold direct to consumers similar to the Nexus One.
Is it the Motorola Mirage he’s talking about here? We’re not sure because he didn’t discuss any further details regarding the matter, but given that there aren’t any other candidates in the limelight right now, our money is on this QWERTY-slider phone that could easily pass as the slimmer twin of the Motorola Droid. One thing’s for sure though, the next Google phone will indeed by made by Motorola.

This basically looks like a Droid with a different color scheme and slightly reworked keyboard.
Not that that’s a bad thing. The Droid is an awesome device that can do nearly anything you throw at it.
And by the time this thing comes out, the Droid will probably be under $100 (it’s now down to $109 according to BuyDroidPhones.com).
Looking forward to seeing this in action, nonetheless.
