Just a few days before the start of MWC, the Samsung Wave has graciously been leaked ahead of its supposed official debut. This will be Samsung’s first Bada-powered device, and based on its reported specs, it’s definitely something worth watching out for.
The Samsung Wave is indeed the S8500, and it comes with a 1GHz processor, 3.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel AF camera with flash, 720p video, WiFi (802.11b/g/n), 2GB onboard memory expandable via microSD card, HSDPA connectivity, 3.5mm jack, TouchWIZ, and a 1500mAh batter as its power source. Bluetooth wasn’t mentioned, but if a previous Bluetooth SIG certification is to be considered, this should also be the first handset to boast of Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.
The Samsung S8500 Wave’s release date and pricing were unfortunately left out of the report. We’ll have to wait for its grand launch at MWC to find out more about these specific details.
