Want to have FireFox Mobile running on your Android phone? If so, read on as we’ve got good news for you.
Jay Sullivan, Mozilla’s Vice President, proudly shares that their nearing the finish line on their work for the Android version with a target release date set for the end of this year. He didn’t mention any specific date, but did go on to say that they’re also pretty excited about MeeGo, the new mobile OS that both Nokia and Intel will be working on.
As far as Windows Mobile is concerned, they do have an Alpha version for Windows Mobile 6.xx already but its future is now uncertain with the launch of Microsoft’s new mobile OS, Windows Phone 7. They’re still deciding whether to continue work on this or scrap it and just focus on the new OS, but with a new IE browser also debuting on Windows Phone 7, FireFox Mobile might be in for a big challenge here.

No I don’t. Firefox suck. Don’t know if it’s worse than latest webkit/Safari but probably is vs webkit, atleast for mobile devices.
Opera > Firefox.

Johan Krüger-Haglert have you even tried any of the Fennec test releases? ..I think no. This is not Firefox like you see on Windows, Linux, Mac OSX desktop put on mobile device but a mobile browser rather.

Well Firefox has already captured a huge market share in the desktop browser market. In the next few days, they will start their endeavor to capture the mobile browser share, by releasing Fennec which is the web browser for mobile phones and Internet tablets.Opera Mini is still the market leader in the mobile browser segment. Now it would be an interesting battle between Opera and Fennec.Ne ways i will keep looking around.
