Are you looking to get an Android tablet in the near future but constrained by a limited budget? If so, we suggest you keep an eye out for the Hivision SpeedPad which is expected to retail for less than $100.
This Android-based MID boasts of a 7-inch WVGA resistive touchscreen, WiFi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth, GPS, 3G connectivity, 256MB DDR2 RAM, 4200mAh battery capable of providing power of up to 6hours, and a Samsung 6410 800MHz with DSP processor. Based on the model displayed at CeBIT 2010, the Hivision SpeedPad runs on Android 1.6. It’s still not clear though if its OS will be upgraded to Android 2.1 when it’s finally ready to be released in the market.
The Hivision SpeedPad’s exact price and availability info, however, are both still yet to be known.
