The Japanese giant is prepping a slew of devices fpr 2010 which ultimately will be the foundation of an ecosystem that connect Sony devices with Sony Online Services. Sort of like an iTunes destroyer. Among these devices is a PSP Phone and an iPad competition that “blurs distinctions among a netbook, an e-reader and a PlayStation Portable.” On the PSP Phone, Sony Ericsson is directly involved. Sony’s plan is to create a range of devices that can feed off the Sony Online Services for games and other content, which could beat iTunes in terms of the range of compatible devices.
