From a “real optometrist” (we hope that’s what the Dr. in the name means) comes the Dr. Yi eBook reader, which happens to have a high-resolution electronic paper, a genuine technological revolution, according to the features list…
Utilizing a new high-resolution display technology called electronic paper, it provides a crisp black-and-white screen that resembles the appearance and readability of printed paper. It reflects light like ordinary paper and uses no backlighting, eliminating the glare associated with other electronic displays. As a result, it can be read as easily in bright sunlight as in your living room. The screen never gets hot so you can comfortably read as long as you like.
Quite amazing, and for only $315 a piece. It also features a Linux OS, an ARM9 200MHz processor, 22 hours of battery life and TTS.
