Many, including us, were looking forward to the release the iOS 4.01 update last Monday. To our dismay, however, that never happened. It’s either the prediction was totally wrong or something came up which forced Apple to postpone its release. The latter seems to be the reason behind the delay based on the tweets from two individuals who got word from Apple Lakeside store employees revealing that Apple is trying to include a fix to stop all the jailbreaking happening left and right.
@MaxdMerc sent out the first tweet:
Guy in Apple Lakeside seems 2 think 4.0.1 is delayed as they r doing a fix 2 stop jailbreak that they have found. Dunno if true?
It’s then supported by this tweet:
Sportycos @TaimurAsad @chpwn I can confirm this in a way. That store is near where I live. A friend of mine works there and told me the same.
It seems only logical for Apple to try to include a fix in their iOS 4 update to safequard their most advanced iPhone firmware from any iOS 4 jailbreak available right now, but we find it a bit odd that the source of this info is from an ordinary Apple store employee rather than someone who’s positioned more deep in the company.
Be that as it may, for you jailbreak aficionados out there, treat this as an early heads up that the upcoming iOS 4.01 update could potentially end your happy iOS 4 jailbreak days. As per tradition, wait for the go signal from the iPhone Dev Team before you update your iOS 4 flavored iPhone/iPod Touch once Apple rolls out their first firmware update for iOS 4.

It is great that the hackers have found out the Jailbroke for the Iphone 4.0, I will be getting this done to my iphone by today. There are lots and lot of apple iphone users and so there will be a jailbroke for every version as apple keeps a loop hole that is found by the hackers.
