Just to remind you folks that Zune maybe no more with the entry of ZuneHD in the market but that doesn’t mean Microsoft will not continue the ever famous Zune Originals. You get to choose the color of the casing and engraving. For a classy PMP like the ZuneHD, paying for extra for individuality. Just a [...]

Some people at Microsoft working on the ZuneHD has confirmed that previous Zune PMP models will be discontinued (so eventually, Zune HD will simply be Zune?). These are the Zune 8, 16, 80, and 120. Hopefully, the inventory flash Zunes will be available for significantly marked-down prices as I want one. So far we haven’t [...]

Thanks to the magic of Qik, we’ve got this brief hands-on video of the new Zune HD which Matthew Arkin was able to get a hold of during its special preview to the public. As you’ll see, the most notable part of the Zune HD is its large screen though its highly reflective display is [...]

Look who’s got a real iPod competitor. I have to say that Microsoft has exceeded my expectation for the Zune HD. It’s still unmistakably Zune-like but the PMP in all its touchscreen glory fits in a normal-sized hand in a much more likable way than iPod Touch. Yes, form-factor-wise, the Zune HD tops iPod Touch. One thing that is always spot on with the Microsoft Zune is the Zune Originals, artwork on Microsoft PMPs. This year it’s inspired by spring. Not only did Apple apparently copy the new iPod Nano’s long form factor from the Zune, it also pilfered the idea of introducing a 16GB version from the Microsoft PMP. Oiginally, Apple planned to release two Nano 4G versions, the 4GB and 8GB but upon learning that Microsoft was going to release a 16GB Zune [...]

Microsoft came out with rather conservative new colors for the new Zunes. The Zune 120 will have a white and blue version and we’ve seen the blue flash Zune; added to the blue is a nice red shade and white. I think they are winners. [via dapreview]

Sure the green Nanos inside Trade2Line Technology’s and N&X’s iPod crystal case may not be functional devices but they do give us a “real” idea what an actual Nano 4G looks like, in case the Nano diagrams fail to appeal to all your senses. Both mockups are green and exhibit the prominence of the long [...]

The 120GB Zune player is priced at $249.95. That’s a virtual confirmation though we have to watch out for Microsoft’s official announcement. It’s good pricing. Even better is the $149.95 8GB flash Zune in blue. We don’t have a photo of the blue Zune yet but when it arrives you can count it as one [...]
