Now they’re saying they have information that a worldphone iPhone that will sport a smaller form factor. So is the Verizon get the iPhone Nano?

Apple Insider’s sources are from Taiwan and is involved in the iPhone supply chain. This rumor makes a lot of sense, as the “leaked” midboard of the iPhone 4G does seem to be smaller in size than the current iPhone model based on the relative size of the camera hole.

OTR Global says iPhone worldmode will use a Qualcomm hybrid chip. Hon Hai, the rumor says will not be the iPhone maker, the privilege going to Asustek’s Pegatron. Asus, therefore, will be making both Mac and iPhone and, possibly, the new iPod Touch. We’ve of course have had a number of iPod Nano leakage with a 2.8-inch screen or thereabouts. I’m quite curious if the virtual keyboard will be retained with a screen this size. Possibly, iPhone 4G will be smaller but have a QWERTY keyboard.

With both CDMA and UMTS networks supported, the iPhone could be sold to all U.S. carriers.

The smart bet is on the iPhone… it will sell much, much more units once it gets attached to America’s most reliable network.

One interesting and very possible snag. What if the iPhone 4G we’ve heard about is none other than the CDMA Verizon iPhone? It’s been over two years since the iPhone was officially announce and we’ve gotten little or no indication that Apple is designing a new hardware.

The Cupertino company had been in talks with Chinese wireless providers for two years over the distribution of iPhone in the biggest mobile market in the world. Apple had a chance to make a deal with China Mobile (the company has been said to serve unlocked iPhones by the hundreds of thousands), the biggest of them all, only to end with a much smaller wireless company in Unicom. Perhaps this fact–that iPhone will operate on a non-dominant wireless provider–and the prohibitive price of each legitimate Unicom iPhone unit (unlocked iPhone is HK are much cheaper) that was responsible for the rather embarrassing first day of iPhone in China. A mere 5,000 units sold. After all of Apple’s Herculean effort to get their touchscreen smartphone to be legally distributed to the Chinese, it’s officially a letdown, the iPhone’s first.

Geohot followers rejoice as your ever reliable hacker has just unleashed his latest iPhone offerings: the blacksn0w iPhone unlock and blackra1n RC3 iPhone jailbreak.

The great thing about blacksn0w is that it works on the new 05.11.07 baseband bundled with iPhone 3.1.2 firmware which the iPhone Dev Team has still yet to crack. For those who already have a jailbroken iPhone, just add blackra1n.com as a repo in Cydia to get some blacksn0w goodness. Once unlocked and you want to enable tethering, you can head on over here using your iPhone to select your carrier so that an appropriate MobileConfig file will be sent to your iPhone. Blackra1n RC3, for its part, is an improved version of his blackra1n iPhone 3.1.2 jailbreak which still works on both Windows and Mac systems.

As usual, proceed with caution in attempting this, but if you’ve been aching to jailbreak and unlock your new iPhone 3G S for the longest time, then be our guest and try this all new blackra1n RC 3 iPhone jailbreak and blacksn0w iPhone unlock out.

So China Ontrade is apparently making a few iPhone 4th Generation parts. One part specifically has been making the Internet rounds and is today’s big rumor. With good reason: China Ontrade has leaked the iPhone 3GS before. That time no one took it seriously. It turned out to be true.

The common wisdom states that the iPhone 4G will most likely come out in 2010. It will be Apple’s big announcement of the year. With the sudden appearance of the leaked iPhone 4G midboard, the announcement date may very likely be pushed forward to very, very soon. This is Gizmodo’s thinking: “Like every company out there, Apple’s products are built just-in-time to avoid stock congestion or last minute changes. They don’t have parts ready eight months before release.”

An earlier iPhone 4G release also makes sense in the face of recent announcements in the mobile world. The Motorola Droid, for one thing, must have been making shockwaves at Cupertino. So is the photo above really the midboard of the iPhone 4G? It doesn’t look all that different from the current model. If Apple will insist on sticking to the original iPhone form factor, may I suggest a couple of new features? OLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and how about a more Mac-like user interface?

Oh, China Ontrade says they’ll publish more iPhone 4G leaks. We’ll keep watch.

Features of the Endless Racing Game in the Multiplayer mode:
- Connect two iPhones 3G / 3GS via Bluetooth.
- Drive the car using the Gas and Stop buttons.
- Change driving direction by moving your iPhone (the game uses the iPhone accelerometer).

Orange will be offering the iPhone at nearly similar prices compared to O2. Orange UK CEO Tom Alexander had earlier confirmed that the wireless provider will seek a route other than a price war to attract people interested in the iPhone to Orange. Britain’s other network, 3, has also claimed to be next in line for the Apple phone in 2010.

Orange will offer the iPhone for free on a 73.41 pound monthly tariff and two-year contract. The Orange iPhone plans are basically similar to O2’s.

The Chinese iPhone is officially available today and there are queues! Not as long as the queues in the iPhone’s US release but there queues nonetheless.

Unicom is China’s official iPhone provider, but the big guns has a sticky problem waiting for them: the iPhone clone market. We at PMP Today are clearly aware how popular iPhone clones are. The market is big and clones have one winning feature the iPhone will probably never have: cheapness. Unicom iPhones are priced from $730 to $1,020 before contract discounts. Compared to the under-$200 iPhone clones, it’ll wage a losing battle in the cheapo market. And it’s not just the clones as unofficial iPhones are available for half the official price at Unicom ($440 to $840).

It will also be interesting to note that the iPhone will not have WiFi connectivity in China. So how does one download the popular and addicting iPhone apps? Read on for more interesting stories about the Apple iPhone Chinese launch from the Wall Street Journal online at the link.

Geohot’s latest release is still basically an iPhone 3.1.2 jailbreak, and if there’s one thing the iPhone Dev Team has the upper hand on is that they have an iPhone unlock under their name. Well, that’s about to change though as Geohot has just announced that he’s ready to release an iPhone unlock of his own via blackra1n aptly called blacksn0w (no doubt in reference to the Dev Team’s yellowsn0w and ultrasnow iPhone unlock).

The video above is a teaser of what we can expect to be launched on November 4. With Geohot now joining in to get himself a piece of the action, things are definitely looking a lot brighter for the iPhone unlock front .
