Teclast K3 E-Ink Reader (or Talking Portable Library) Announced

13. January 2010

Another e-Book Reader but this time it’s from one of our favorite China manufacturers: Teclast. The K3 has a 6-inch E-Ink screen. I honestly prfer the Owen ONN E1, also a China launch, with its black frame and smaller size. The Teclast K3, however, supports something that wasn’t announced with the E1: Text to Speech. [...]

Teclast C510HD PMP Video Demo

2. December 2009

Here’s another 1080p full HD player. We haven’t really heard a lot of complaints about Teclast (Taipower) players, though the C510HD in particular is a little too basic and budget-friendly for our taste. For instance the 24fps video playback is a little low-end even for an 8GB player under $150. The UI is fairly usable, [...]

Yet another 1080p HD PMP from China. Teclast isn’t exactly an unknown quantity for us. The C510HD is the first 1080p from the company we’ve heard about. It has a 5-inch touchscreen with a 800 × 480-pixels resolution. The chassis is metal as well and Ownta says you can squeeze 6 hours of video on [...]

Wondering About Teclast T51, Audiophile’s Special

27. October 2009

The Wolfson-chip, MVA-touchscreen, 1080p HD PMP that goes by the name of Teclast T51 has got us curious since we laid our sight on it on the Web. I wonder why online retailers are so eager to sell this model, preferring it in their inventory above every other PMP model. The video below might help. [...]

Teclast T51 is an Audiophile Quality 1080p PMP?

19. October 2009

We’re not entirely sure what Teclast means by the T51 being an audiophile’s PMP. We’ve always assumed every PMP maker makes sound quality one of the top priorities. But here goes Teclast claiming the T51 should appeal better to real audiophiles than other PMPs in the market (should we call the T51 an mp3 player [...]

Teclast T56 PMP Promises 1080p

18. September 2009

I am simply impressed by what Teclast has recently announced. Above is the T56, which is a 5-inch 800 x 480 PMP that supports 1080p videos. Of course, the screen is too low-rez for 1080p so you got the HDMI output. Also added is integrated GPS, which is definitely something you don’t see every day [...]

Teclast M66 PMP Gets Buttons

14. April 2009

It’s not so digital-frame-looking anymore. Teclast’s M66 PMP looks prettier with touch-sensitive buttons instead of a touchscreen like the original render suggest. You won’t probably regret it’s not a touchscreen given the high-definition certification. Taipower is taking its time releasing this player. What we know of the Teclast M66 follows: 5-inch LTPS (low temperature poly-silicon) RK2806 720p decoding [...]

Teclast M66 MP4 Player Goes for High-Def Rockchip

24. March 2009

The Teclast M66, a rather frame-looking PMP, will give users 720p in high-def goodness once it comes out. The main enabler of these 720p support is one RK2806 Rockchip. Oddly, while Teclast is more than able to come out with a sleek player like PMP like the M33, the M66 is desperately lacking in the beauty [...]

(Taipower) Teclast M50HD PMP Ready for War

19. February 2009

It’s been quite a while since Teclast announced something really interesting. The M50HD will blow you away, and we’re not kidding: This 4.3-inch HD (720p) PMP not only supports Xvid, DivX and RMVB videos, it also boasts military-industrial material zinc and magnesium alloy. Not only that, one of the buttons is described as a “diamond-like” [...]

15. October 2008

MP4nation just received the hot new M33 PMP from Teclast. What’s special about the M33 is the MVA screen, which gives users wider viewing angles than ordinary LCDs. UI control comes from the resistive touchscreen. No pricing yet for the M33 but we’re sure it’s going to be available in time for Christmas shopping. [source]
