We’ve met the Blue Magic Q12 girl before but we knew her as the RAmos miniQ biki beauty, one of five, actually (click here if you want to see the others), so we’re quite thrilled when we found out that she’s been inducted as one of the Multi-Media Beauties on one Chinese site. Now, we don’t know if this is a contest and if one winner should emerge as the ultimate MM model. For your convenience, we have re-posted all seven candidates here (w/ another pic of Q12). Sure ONION1 looks kinda like Pasen’s LAZYBUM with the left side speaker missing but this one has special Christmas-tie in at this site. You have to sign up and post a few words about yourself to join. ONION1 has a 2.4-inch TFT screen and AVI/XviD/Divx support for QVGA (320×240) playback and additional support for FLV. Microsoft PlayFX rocks on this one as well. Pasen has proven to be a pioneering supporter of PlayFX, and only time will tell if it will help them in the competitive media player market. Summer’s over, but for lucky photo submitters it’s time to cash in on their good efforts. GMP3 has just announced the winners of their photo contest: “Votre Baladeur en Vacances.”   We expected either an Archos, COWON, iPod, Zen user to win, but Alexandre had the best idea on his vacation: listening to sea shells instead of an MP3 player. We were kinda hoping Anisson will win with her iPod on a camel entry but, unfortunately, she didn’t make it. Alexandre will receive Creative Xmod X-Fi + 1 tee-shirt GMP3. From July 2 to August 31, GenerationMP3 will receive submissions for their contest “Votre Baladeur en Vacances.” It roughly means My Holiday With My Player. This contest caught the eye of PMP Today because of the quality of submissions. The theme is pretty broad and open to a number of interpretations, which must get people’s creative juices going. Added to that are people’s intuitive love for their personal media players (another name for PMPs). Anyone can join. First, you have to take a thematic photo of your MP3 player or PMP. Then go here and fill out this form.

A supplier of hi-tech consumer products, Prestigio, will be more familiar to residents of the European countries. They pretty much cover everything, screens, laptops, accessories, desktops and they get a mention here because they have a pretty nice player/recorder - PMR701, which is also the first prize in the contest.

So what do you have to do to get your hands on the first prize?  Here’s the theme: “The entries (submitted photos) should illustrate the motto «People – The Art of Life» and realized in one the following genres: portrait; reporting; genre photo.” Pretty wide topic which should draw some great submissions.

Contest starts on the 30th of April and will be open for entries for almost a whole month. And if you’re in total contest mood, don’t forget that Cowon is holding their UCC contest also.
