Details of the iRiver N20 has come out. The innovative pendant MP3 player from iRiver boasts a 120 x 56 PMOLED (passive matrix OLED) screen with four lines of data that should be good enough for text and simple icon displays. It measures 26 × 55.5 × 13mm and weighs at 35 grams. It can play FLAC and Ogg, among other popular music files. The iRiver N20 comes in 2GB and 4GB models priced at $95 and $110 respectively. Not a cheap MP3 player by any means.

Korean PMP maker iRiver is readying new flagship PMPs. How about touchscreen with WiFi in an iRiver branded device? Nothing’s official yet but the iRiver K1 (a.k.a P50) looks to be a 3.5-inch touchscreen PMP with WiFi. A successor, the iRiver K2, will run on Google Android, presumably, with at least the same specs.

If you can imagine the iRiver P.PLE P7 in a sleeker form factor, with WiFi then you can imagine what is up to next in iRiver PMPs.

The United Kingdom will enjoy DAB radio service on the portable iRiver B30. Available in 8GB and 16GB versions, the iRiver B30 is a 2.8-inch QVGA PMP and also plays video files and features touch-sensitive controls and haptics feedback. Battery life is pretty good at 40 hours for audio and 6 hours for video. Take a look at the list of features of the B30.

There’s a new pendant MP3 player from the iRiver N series that’s got the Chinese blogs buzzing. The iRiver N20, former vaporware, may actually be real after 3 years in the oven. previously rumored to be the smallest DAP with a screen in 2006, the N20 may go screenless but in a more fashionable shape. I, for one, prefer a pendant MP3 player than clip-ons. Less worries of misplacing or losing it.

We know that iriver is one of the best PMP makers in the world, but will it succeed in the PND/ GPS market? The mini version of the iRiver NV has been upgraded via firmware to be mounted on your bike as a personal navigator. Equipped with a 3.5-inch touchscreen that takes input from a gloved hand it measures stats like ride time, speed, distance and calories burnt. Battery lasts two and a half hours with music turned on also. The GPS functionality has a POI (points of interests) functionality that helps you find a stopover like coffee shops or supermarket. Available in Korea.

I wouldn’t call it a Kindle clone just yet, pending official price announcements. there are differences to the keyboard. The iRiver Story supports txt, PDF and EPUB files as well as DOC, Excel and PowerPoint. It also features a Comic Viewer with Zip file support. It can view in JPG, GIF and BMP. It plays MP3, WMA and OGG music files as well. The lack of WiFi or 3G means you will need your PC to download reading materials. Oh, well, it should also make it very affordable.

For your next voice recorder, you might want to take a look at what iRiver has to offer. The VR-1 is a Linear PCM recorder coming with 2GB or 4GB of internal storage. It also plays MP3 music and FM. The iRiver VR-1 promises optimum recording against a noisy background and also supports voice prompts. It measures 34.6 x 98 x 17.4mm and weighs 46 grams, supposedly including the 2 AAA batteries. No pricing yet or date of availability.

The seemingly Asia-only upcoming release of the iRiver E30 has caught us by surprise. We haven’t heard of another iRiver model coming so soon. But here it is and it looks like a very simple but elegant player. It’s bound to be really cheap, too, what with the limited video support–MJPEG– and low 2GB memory capacity. It plays MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC though, which makes it even more regretful for us that the iRiver E30 only comes with two gigs. The best feature, no doubt, is the 52 hours of music playback. The iRiver E30 has a 1.8-inch screen and measures 89.9 × 42.0 × 9.0mm. No pricing has been announced.

What we didn’t know is that the iRiver E200 is slightly curved at the back, not as boxy as the E100. The 2.8-inch no-nonsense PMP will come in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB versions and will play FLAC, RMVB and Xvid, among other files.It also has an FM tuner.
