Second, the plastic just isn’t the same. The buttons on the PXP-2000 are clickety, the slide-out action lacking in snap. Screen resolution and screen size seem OK, but don’t bothre expecting a few pre-loaded 64-bit Nintendo games. Sure the makers of the PXP-2000 leave a lot to be desired in terms of construction but did TweeterMan287 actually notice the amount of pre-loaded games? The PSP Go clone above may get you in hot water at Sony, but between just you and me, I think I’d prefer the $84 PXP-2000 over the $250 PSP Go.

But you’re thinking, for that amount of money, surely I won’t be getting too much. You’d be wrong. China is very fond of portable gamers, especially those with NES/ SNES emulation, but this new mystery gamer from Chuwi seems likely to blast the portable gamer industry wide open. Is this Chuwi’s PSP-killer. There’s talk about 720p support and up to 64-bit game support. There’s even a possibility that the new Chuwi gamer will come in different sizes, including a large 7 incher. A 7-inch gaming PMP with HD playback is the most tempting combination I can think of right now.

This is the most blatant and boldest cloning we’ve seen here at PMPToday. The Geda VX690HD PMP totally supports HD and Blu-Ray resolutions and with the 4.3-inch touchscreen supporting 1920 X 1080 pixels, it’s the best screen on an HD MP4 player we’ve seen. I’m not so sure copying the PlayStation Portable form factor is such a bad thing. Look at the button all around the face of the screen. Would you believe it’s even WiFi-enabled.

Specs include multiple gaming format support including GBA, SNES, NES and NeoGeo. Btw, anyone can tell me what Open the Zoo (OTZ) is for?

If you’ve always wanted to play old NES games on-the-go but are too wary of little known Chinese brands, then you might have your eyes set on FC Mobile, which just got better as the FC Mobile 2. The new portable NES gamer is smaller with better form factor overall and a TV out feature added. That means controllers, which comes with the package. They’re wireless, too. And the best part is the light gun accessory. I just loved playing duck hunt. Sure it was a little monotonous when you get really good at it, but you can always learn to shoot from the hip if you get too bored.

While Akihabaranews is good enough to note Chinavasion’s CVFH-N03-4G PMP and NES emulator, we are more impressed by this player, especially its $50 price tag.

Can you play Super Mario Brothers All Stars on the iPhone touch screen? You can with snes4iphone V1.0.0. A sophisticated app, it not only emulates SNES games on the iPhone, it also gives users a very responsive virtual game control pad. Take not that the Giz’s test video is the latest version of the app. It has in fact come a long way (watch a demo of version 0.4.1 after the break) and though in-game sounds are still not available, background music effectively brings us back a decade.
