This was sent to our email and it impressed immediately. At first glance, it seems to be a clip-on mini-PMP, which is already pretty impressive. Upon closer look the $60 Tomato T99 is also a mini digital video recorder with a 1.3 MP camera that can be used as a monitoring device. The camera functionality has shadow-control to save battery life… when the camera screen in a minute without any change in circumstances, the camera automatically stops. When there is a move before the camera screen, the camera will automatically activate the camera. It can save power, and also save memory space.

Even before the Apple Tablet can come out of its womb, famous iPhone clone maker DigitalRise releases the S1 Slate, a cheaper tablet compared to their multitouch X9. It’s a 10.2-inch Tablet PC with WiFi, 3G, GPS, webcam, an Intel Atom processor, Intel GMA 950 GPU with a USB port, VGA connector and 4-in-1 card. It will be running Windows 7. It will not be as thin as the Apple Tablet, which is rumored to be an iPhone flattened out by a rolling pin. It looks like a well-equipped tablet PC priced at a discounted $630. Of course, you can’t be blamed for waiting for the Apple Tablet announcement, but after the iSlate has been unveiled and priced I have little doubt that you’d be looking back at what DigitalRise has to offer. The 10.2-inch Tablet, alas, will not be known as Eros in China but “Wing.” It’s still running XP, which makes for a stable platform for porn surfing, I should think. Now, why would I say the Eros tablet is meant for watching adult material? The Eros Tablet comes with a 1024 × 576 screen resolution as standard or you can go crazy with a 1366 × 768. The 720p video support should play nicely on the latter screen resolution. As for processing speed, a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor should do nicely for browsing and viewing videos but not so nicely for editing videos, graphic design and gaming. It comes with either a 1GB RAM or a 2GB, depending on your choice. Still not convinced? How about an option for 160GB or 320GB of built-in storage? That should do very well for huge 720p porn video downloads. With 2 hours on a single charge, I should say it’s more than enough for your day’s fix, and the Eros comes without that pesky keyboard for uninterrupted pleasure. You can load it up with Windows 7 but battery’s not so good with it. Price tag: about $441.

With all the Windows 7 tablets coming out, what’s an XP MID gonna do? Why, get cheaper of course. When the BenQ S6 MID was announced it was going for $420 or thereabouts. But that was last year. For the equivalent of $43 British residents can enjoy their very own iPod Nano clone. It doesn’t have a camera but take it from us, a $43 Nano clone is cheap, especially if it really looks like that i. The Nono, an iPod Nano clone with camera, will set you back $55. If you want cheaper than the Aldi’s nano clone, take a look at some of the choices:

The Aldi’s Nano clone does not have a camera but there’s an FM tuner, though video support is limited to AMV. The battery lets you play video for 3 hours or music for 3 hours. Not much battery life but you get 3-year warranty.

Phoenix or PNIX produces low-cost MP3 players. PNIX SD is only their second product and either my translator is having an off-day right now or one of these PNIX SD MP3 players are only really 14,900 won (or about $13). Only nine bucks for a Korea-made MP3 player! Talking about cheap electronics! And we thought dirt cheap MP3 players are exclusive to China. But wait, earphones sold separately for 9,900 won or about $9. Which makes our PNIX SD player a $21 gadget if you want a fully working MP3 player. Warning, even in Korea, first read the fine print.

Found on the FCC site, this Harvest Bloom Limited (of Shenzhen, we assume) masterpiece is either an clone of AT&T’s HTC Hero or, based on the diagram, a T-Mobile myTouch.

Now how certain are we that it is a clone. The yet unnamed phone features dual-SIM. It also supports Chinese input. It also features MP3, MP4 playback, an FM tuner with recording, T-Flash slot and something called a “personalized human-phone interface, which sounds like something Cupertino’s iPhone would be worried about.

X9 is officially a 10.2-inch tablet running on Windows 7 with multi-touch support. It’s powered by a 1.6GHz Intel  Atom N270 processor and has WiFi plus 3G connectivity (WCDMA, TD-SCDMA,  CDMA2000). Also in the list of features are 3 USB ports, VGA port and a 5-in-1 card reader. The battery lasts 4 hours. The 4000 yuan price tag will bring the K.R.T. X9 to  about $588 USD.
