We’re not sure what it’s meant for, though, since the store specs doesn’t mention TV reception. The specs does include an improved FM tuner with automatic search and recording. Besides that it’s pretty much the same player except the promise of longer battery life. The 4.3-inch LCD screen, 8GB flash memory, NES and GBA games support, 720p and 30fps video playback all came with its predecessor. Price has also increased slightly to $110.

Make your precious data a priority target for casual thieves and professional armed robbers with Chinagrabber’s new knock-off 999.9 gold bar USB flash drive. While we don’t think it’s such a good idea for one’s own personal use, it should be a great gift for your favorite boss or uncle.

Here’s what Chinagrabber has to say about it:

If you are tired of looking at your old normal shaped flash drive but need large amounts of memory space for all of your data, this is the flash disk you have been looking for. Very small, made from high quality metal, with full USB 2.0 connection speed, and compatibility with most popular OS’s, this little memory gadget has it all. Get an item that is sure to stand out from your competition in your own online store or eBay storefront at an incomparable low wholesale price direct from China to you.

It’s a 4GB drive in almost real pure gold for only $19.99. I wonder why they didn’t include a built-in MP3 player and white iPod earplugs.

It wasn’t as brick-like and huge as the Sony Walkman Scott Campbell swapped with his iPod. It was as big as a book and cassette tapes were absolutely alien technology for Scott. It was three days of using before he figured out it had two sides. Also, it doesn’t shuffle. Scott has to be careful since Walkman’s actually destroy music…

I managed to create an impromptu shuffle feature simply by holding down “rewind” and releasing it randomly - effective, if a little laboured. I told my dad about my clever idea. His words of warning brought home the difference between the portable music players of today, which don’t have moving parts, and the mechanical playback of old. In his words, “Walkmans eat tapes”.

Scott has a number of cons going against the old cassette player. Sound quality wasn’t as good as the digital music nowadays. I totally agree with the hissing, and battery life, those AAs, just didn’t last long enough. Of course, Sony Walkmans have gone more hi-tech since then.

The phone may not seem too usable for the likes of me and you, but little fashionistas would get a kick out of this. If they’re still too obsessed with their SideKicks (I think they still are), you might convince them by pronouncing the cheap price of the C90+, just $129.99 and the fact that it’s an unlocked GSM phone. It’s also an MP3 and MP4 player. Other features include Bluetooth, 1.3MP camera and FM tuner.

Note: Not sure this is an official Hello Kitty phone. We’re currently in the process of verifying this, so stay tuned.
