Just like the guy on the video says, the MenQ EasyPC E790 is currently running Windows CE but is able to run on Android as well. The best feature of this 7-inch 800 x 480 Shenzhen laptop is its price: only $80. It’s powered by a Samsung ARM9 processor. It must be iterated, this netbook can… run… Google Android. The video man expects ARM Cortex A8 in the future as well. Right now, it has DivX video support. The EasyPC has Skype as well. Wow, imagine when it actually get Android, maybe it’ll support Facebook. We know that iriver is one of the best PMP makers in the world, but will it succeed in the PND/ GPS market? The mini version of the iRiver NV has been upgraded via firmware to be mounted on your bike as a personal navigator. Equipped with a 3.5-inch touchscreen that takes input from a gloved hand it measures stats like ride time, speed, distance and calories burnt. Battery lasts two and a half hours with music turned on also. The GPS functionality has a POI (points of interests) functionality that helps you find a stopover like coffee shops or supermarket. Available in Korea.

Another 1080i PMP from a Chinese manufacturer, the Newsmy A16HD introduces 720p video recording via it AV-IN function. This handy Windows CE 5.0 PMP features a 5-inch 800×400 screen and support for RM/RMVB, AVI, FLV, MP4, VOB, MOV, 3GP, MPG, DAT or MKV videos that can also be displayed on a bigger screen thru the HDMI port. It also plays P3, WMA, OGG, WAV APE and FLAC lossless audio. The 16GB A16HD will set you back $150 at Ownta. I think this is the same A16HD+ player as features-wise the + sign doesn’t really mean an additional feature.

Despite its lack of originality when it comes to its design, we definitely love what this new Mitac MID has to offer under the hood. Aside from being equipped with an Nvidia Tegra chip, this yet-to-be-named Mitac MID also boasts of 720p media playback, HDMI output, TV Tuner, and Windows CE with a custom UI. Its battery life is also said to be very reliable although the jury is still out on how efficient it really is. No camera though, but it’s reported that Mitac plans to ship this one with a keyboard/case combo to further entice would-be buyers. That’s all well and good, but unfortunately, we neither have a release date nor price to really get us excited over upcoming it.

The Mintpad, Windows CE, stylus-equipped touchscreen device is now being distributed in earnest. We’ve been pretty impressed with MintPass Mintpad since we first heard about it. It seems to be the miniaturized result when you cross a PDA and a PMP with pocketableness in mind. Plus, this note-taker is WiFi-enabled, and has a camera (something we might have missed in previous mintpad posts)!

Mintpad features:

Microsoft’s new iPod Touch killer has hit the FCC, which means it won’t be too long until ZuneHD will be available Stateside. Nothing much to be said now but maybe it’s best to decide now what you want, the 16GB or the larger-capacity 32GB. Another interesting detail. The ZuneHD actually runs on Windows CE, which vindicates this popular but often-lambasted operating system.

We’re a fan of Windows CE here at PMP Today so we’re unabashedly ecstatic when we saw the Mobinnova Elan running Windows CE. Powered by an Nvidia Tegra, the customized Windows CE is sleek, fun to use and of course multimedia is simply superb. The Arm-based Tegra, unfortunately won’t run Windows XP or Mac OS X, but seriously, a 3D Windows CE is a good option to have.

The China-made-and-designed Mobinnova elan is an 8.9-inch netbook. It can play 1080p high-definition videos. No pricing yet or date of availability.

A really cheap MID has come China’s way and, hopefully, our way pretty soon. The Windows CE Chuwi W3000 will be flying off the shelves with the very decent price tag of 999 yuan, whihc makes about $146 USD. Chwi makes several storage capacities available and the GPS is optional, to our understanding, so you might only be getting a 1GB WiFi, Bluetooth, multimedia device without the GPS.

We’ve been wondering when Chuwi will come out with its UMPC. If Aigo can do it, why not Chwui, maker of the T8 PMP? The Chuwi W3000 has WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS and the tastiest optional applications: instant messaging, navigation software, among others probably related to multimedia. It plays AVI and RMVB and perhaps other unmentioned codecs, as the most ubiquitous music files. There’s a 3 megapixel camera at the back, too. No pricing yet.
