We thought Meritech’s M35 Touch was rather interesting. Dubbed the mini PMP TV, the Meritech Tornado has a 3.5-inch WVGA touch screen, multi-band TV tuner and perhaps the longest playing battery in the PMP world, not to mention a still rather slim 13mm. No price has been announced bu the Tonado is coming soon. [via gmp3]

We have a new familiar looking PMP from Yoto (Yuantong), which had impressed us in the past with the MVP-800. Besides the iPhonesque UI that includes what looks like an AIM widget (will it have WiFi?, the 3-inch player is a full touchscreen with multitasking and a full set of useful features like calendar, resource [...]

It’s been a while since we posted a decent iPhone clone. No idea whether GiPhone is related to HiPhone or SciPhone. I remember being told once these iPhone clones with iPhonesque names are all related to Cect phones. Anyway, what’s interesting about the GiPhone F5… well, the F5 has many interesting features: the white color, [...]

Today is the official release of the Meizu M8 phone–not this Meizu M8 or this one but the real one with the finalized specs found here: 3.4-inch touchscreen, Windows CE 6.0, 3.2 megapixel camera, etc. Reviews of the Meizu M8 have been disappointing, but that may have something to do with all the delays. A year [...]

PMP iPhone Clone is Thin

There are iPhone clones and then there are iPhone clones that break the mold in a way that we like. Take this piece of hardware from  Guangxi Nanning Jiguang Trade Co., Ltd. It’s definitely more iPhone than iPod Touch with its metallic details and 16GB or 32 GB capacity choices. Too bad there is no [...]

You may want to check Meizume, the Meizu forum par excellence, about how official this is. Fastcardtech has put up a Meizu M8 page, selling the 8GB version for $439.99. I’m just loving the photo above and the online store has more, albeit less enjoyable, photos of the M8, including live shots and a pretty [...]

Sure MP4 Nation is one of our advertising partners but they also do to-the-point and informative reviews of MP4 players. Below is their Meizu M8 review. If you can get past the sort of coughing laughter that peppers thevideo reviews, usually when he announces the specs, it’s  a pretty neat review. One insight is disappointment: [...]

Clamshell iPhone Air Spotted

Sunday, January 4, 2009

In China, Apple has apparently released a folder iPhone called iPhone Air. Fake? You betcha. The best part feature of the fake iPhone Air, in my opinion, is not the FM tuner, Bluetooth or camera or the facts that it’s a clamshell, but the Apple logo that glow in the dark. A clamshell iPhone is actually [...]

ePhone M8 TV Phone Clones Meizu miniOne and iPhone

One cannot simply fathom the gall of some small-time phone manufacturers. This new iPhone clone doesn’t only clone iPhone, it will also make the heads of Meizu executives spin with their appalling lack of originality. Sure the ePhone M8 sure sounds nicer though than Meizu M8, I mean if you’re into knock-offs. For $159.99 you [...]
